I am currently on a computer that has mostly every site blocked and i can't look up anything for my project, luckily yahoo isnt blocked at all. Anyone know a proxy I can use so that i can work on my essay please i need help??

I am using Firewall, I can providing safety area for my clients. But some clients are using proxy for illegal search.

Depending on the type of firewall you are using filtering out proxies can be difficult since (i'm assuming this is an http proxy) proxy traffic can look just like http traffic. You'd need to know which proxy (IP address) they are using and block the particular IP. As for port it's usuaully the http port (80) since most corp firewalls don't block outgoing http traffic.
One thing you may want to do is setup your own proxy and force everyone to use that and block all outgoing traffic to everyone since proxies can run on any port the only way to know for sure is to block everything :) (you'd need to setup a proxy for every outgoing service your network may need) If you really need this much security within your own network you'll have to take drastic measures such as this.

I work at a Best Buy and I brought my laptop in and surfed the net on their wireless network for a little while. In order to use it, I needed to get past the proxy and did so. The guys at Geek Squad optimized the computer as well. iTunes, IE, and AIM 6.0 all worked fine at the store. Now I'm back at the house on my wireless network and I can no longer connect to iTunes, internet explorer, or AIM 6.0, only Mozilla Firefox. I had a similar problem with my wireless desktop before and resolved that by restoring the computer. Is it possible by using anothers network, I f'ed up my network in the process? And how would I solve a problem like this without restoring my laptop? Is it possible they disabled that network setting in the process of connecting or optimizing the computer?

Hi everyone, just a quick question I wanting to know of a proxy server address (preferbly anoymous) that will allow me to be able to post comments / see every picture posted / reply to bullietins and send messages on myspace. Originaly I was using www.hidemyass.com which was awesome until the IT department found the address and blocked it.
I've fried all the server address on gtnetwork. Is there any address you may know of or have used that will allow me to post comments. Thanks so much!!!
