I change the proxy in the Lan setting and then the internet don't work?

i put the proxy ip from some proxy list in my IE Tool,Connection, Lan setting. After i change the proxy and the intetnet just not work. Anybody help please (^_^)

Are you trying to access the internet in such as a way to get to sites that your school won't let you go to? If so, that is a completely different kind of proxy. If you want that kind of proxy, a google search will help. If your internet is already working then you don't need a proxy. There are two different kinds of proxies more or less. The kind in the IE settings has to do with a specific server in your network that is the only way for you to get to the internet. The other kind of proxy, is a proxy that is where you go to a website that lets you access forbidden websites.

Reply:That proxy isn't set up for you to connect through most likely. Use something like atunnel.com or btunnel.com
Reply:you can always contact windows and they can help you, also you can contact the ISP and they can walk you through it. Also you can restore your computer to the day before you changed the settings, takes about 20 minutes and is painless.
