Using a proxy?

my laptop from work is limited by the administrator in many many things. i cant acces my yahoo messenger, and i cant even enter yahoo.com for God's sake!!!





so my question is:


using a free proxy from the internet will allow me to bypass their restrictions? using a proxy from work is illegal???





what about when connecting my laptop to my home network?(it has the same limitations) could i get caught with this using from home???


any answer is welcomed, but i would prefer from specialist...

Go to internet explorer-tools-internet options-connections-lan settings and copy the proxy setting there if any to the connection settings on your yahoo messenger, and no using a free proxy wont help u have to go thru company proxy to get to the free proxy

I have subscribed to their news letter they sendt working proxies which are not blocked.
Reply:Its not illegal but if you get caught using one your work may not be too happy.
